Q: What are the pickets & sleeves made of?
A: The pickets & sleeves are manufactured from 100% recycled UV Resistant High Density Polyethylene, with No Wood Fillers. They have excellent color stability, impact strength and will not splinter or rot. They also have superior resistance to chemicals and paint.
Q: How will the weather affect them?
A: The high-density polyethylene is protected with UV stabilizers and is waterproof. It will withstand extreme hot and cold temperatures and is unaffected by water.
Q: Can they be scratched?
A: The combination of material and texture create a surface condition which hides scratches from view. Material is colored throughout the product so scratches do not show contrasting colors from subsurface materials.
Q: What is the warranty?
A: The pickets & sleeves come with a 30 year limited warranty, which covers defects such as rotting, flaking and blistering. See warranty for additional covered conditions.
Q: Can they be painted?
A: TextureCraft™ pickets & DuraClad™ sleeves are manufactured to never need paint. Painting the pickets is not recommended, as it will not stick to the surface.
Q: How do you clean them?
A: Spray them off with a standard garden hose.
Q: What sizes do they come in?
A: The pickets measure ¾” thick, and are available in full 6” widths. This means fewer TextureCraft™ pickets to cover the same footage as wood pickets. The sleeves are available in 1x2, 1.5x5.5 & 5x5 sizes.
Q: What colors are available?
A: The available stock colors are Natural Cedar, Weathered Gray and Western Sierra. Custom colors are available with large volume orders.
Q: Can they be cut to size?
A: TextureCraft™ Premium Pickets & DuraClad™ Sleeves are easier to cut than wood using a standard circular or hand saw. SealTop™ Pickets should always be cut along the bottom edge.
Q: Will the weather harm the open tops?
A: No. TextureCraft™ Pickets are UV Stabilized inside and out.

PEAK Fence System - Product Characteristics - HDPE
1. Resin Type - Mixture of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride). The Outer Sleeves on the posts and rails on the PEAK Fence System is HDPE and more tolerable to weather extremes and UV damage than most other polymers. The TextureCraft Pickets inside the frame are 100% HDPE.
2. HDPE has an embrittlement rate of +- 60 degrees below zero. This is the sustained temperature rate at which a resin will crack without impact.
3. HDPE has more flexibility in the manufacturing process with color ranges, surface textures and variegated highlights than most other resin types.
4. The outer HDPE Durac1ad Sleeves and TextureCraft Pickets are graffiti resistant and can be cleaned with a wide variety of household cleaners in addition to hot soapy water.
5. HDPE has-excellent chemical resistance to snow melting road treatments such as Magnesium Chloride and repels the alkaline properties from water used in lawn irrigation systems eliminating the unsightly "sprinkler arcs".
6. The PEAK Fence System contains no wood fillers (or other fillers) like "composite" fencing products that can absorb moisture and fade over time in extreme weather conditions. Some of these composite products can contain as much as 50% wood in their manufactured content.
7. The PEAK System is a solid, and colorfast product and is not a co-extrusion (thin outer coating of resin that can easily scratch through to the unprotected sub structure) These thin layers of color or texture can separate when dust particles get embedded under the outer layer and peel off with time and weather extremes,
8. HDPE is very inert, durable and hard to penetrate which gives it tremendous impact strength at very low temperatures;
9. The HDPE in the PEAK Fence System is a 100% recycled product and recyclable making it a true "Green" product and environmentally friendly.
10. HDPE is colorfast UV stabilized and has an extremely low degradation factor allowing for fence section runs to be installed over a multiple year period with no visible color changes. .
11. HDPE made products are very installation "flexible" and can be easily adapted and blended for installation usage with many other types of resin fence products.
12. HPU.E is the same polymer used in school playground equipment and pickup truck bed liners since it has excellent impact strength, resists cracking and has minimal color loss over long periods of time or in variable weather conditions.
13. HDPE will not splinter or rot and will never need paint or stain. Each product is manufactured with a solid color blend all the way through so scratches will not be visible from a few feet away.
